Star Trek: Into Darkness
Just saw Star Trek Into Darkness this morning.
Loved it! I can't say much because I don't like to spoil anything. But I loved it.
I hear there is a bit of a hubhub around some people getting their noses out of whack because of the "alternate universe" they're using. Well, I'll be up front and say right now: I don't care. I love it all. I love the old original series. I love The Next Generation. I love Voyager. I've seen every film, even the really truly bad ones. I've even read some of the novels.
And I don't care in the remotest sense of the word about any changes or alterations Abrams' has made. I love that he's made it more "user-friendly" and more relatable to everyone. I love that these new films are bringing in new fans. I love it.
Besides, there is so much fanservice in these new films, I'm giddy as a schoolgirl watching them. Yep, downright giddy :)
Cumberbatch is a sensation in this film -- but everyone else acquitted themselves just fine.
