I used the German movie poster because it was better than the others I found. Besides, the film isn't just about Ava. It is -- but, it isn't. It's about Isaac's character just as much - the foil being Gleeson's.
I liked this film a lot. It's shot beautifully, artfully. The script doesn't allow for idiots, which I particularly admire. It's got a great feel to it.
It is still completely predictable for someone who has read a lot of Sci-Fi like myself. I imagine for someone who doesn't really delve into hard Sci-Fi that it would be creepy and awesome all at the same time. I didn't see any stretches here in this story - but it didn't need any. It's a tight compact tale and it's effective.
I'm still waiting for something to wow me. Ex Machina didn't - but I'm a particular audience. I'd still highly recommend it.
