Leavesden Studios - Harry Potter <3
Well I'm home. Absolutely exhausted and happy to be so. The first thing we did, since we took two of our children with us this time, was to visit Leavesden Studios and see the Harry Potter Tour/Exhibition they have there. It was fantastic and up until Wales, the absolute highlight of the trip.
The lady tour guide was very sweet and let me exit back out to take this shot with no one there. Just looking at this makes me wish I could go to Hogwarts as an 11-year-old. I wonder what House I would have been sorted into, then. I wonder if the Sorting Hat would have known the kind of woman I'd become, because I'm quite sure I'm a Ravenclaw. ;) But then, when I was 11 -- I'm not so certain. I was quite a different person that long ago.
What an age, 11. Right on the cusp of puberty. How I wish I could dial back time in some respects. Go back and re-write some things. Alas, we never can. We're stuck with our lot. If there was anything I ever learned by reading Harry Potter is that we have to make the best of things, no matter where we came from. Because it doesn't matter where we're from. It's our choices that define us.
